Is Ennui gone?  The name is, but the person isn't.

The moniker Ennui took effect back in 1990-91.  Since then mainstream upgraded the term ennui to a buzzword relating to teen angst and suddenly every grandmother and 5-year old kid knows all about it and what it relates to.

Meanwhile the growing state of unhappiness in society continues (road rage, youth violence, bad tv programming...) and now I have friends who are entering their 30's and still haven't lost this feeling of angst.  One friend made a humorous point a while back: For a teen and early adult, it's angst...for an older person, it becomes "bitterness."

It was a tough decision but rather than be pigeon-holed into that image, it was decided that a name change was in order.  Times have changed too so a new direction seems more relevant.

You will still be able to find all the old stuff as it becomes available again.  Ennui material may always be used in future shows but the name will not be used from this point on.
